This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how billing, cancellations and refunds work for ProposalBolt Subscriptions. It is part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. This Policy applies to the fees you pay us for the Service. It does not apply to payments you collect from your own Clients — see Section 6.
In short: you can cancel any time and keep access until the end of your paid period. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or in the specific cases below. Payments between you and your Clients are your responsibility, not ours.
ProposalBolt offers a free plan and paid Subscriptions. Paid Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis and renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled, as described in our Terms of Service. Prices are exclusive of taxes; applicable GST is added and shown on your invoice.
You may cancel your Subscription at any time from your billing settings. When you cancel:
Except where required by Applicable Law (including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019) or as expressly stated in this Policy, Subscription fees are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused time, unused AI credits, or features you did not use. Cancelling stops future billing but does not retroactively refund a period already paid.
We may, at our discretion, provide a refund, credit or other remedy in cases such as:
Where a refund is approved, it will be made to your original payment method within a reasonable time, net of any applicable non-refundable third-party charges, and any related GST adjustment will follow Applicable Law.
Free trials, vouchers, promotional codes and founding-member offers are provided at no charge for the stated period and have no cash value; nothing is charged during a valid trial, so no refund applies to it. If a trial converts to a paid Subscription, the applicable fees apply unless you cancel before the trial ends. Discounted or promotional Subscriptions are non-refundable except as required by law.
If a renewal payment fails, we may retry and may suspend premium features or downgrade your workspace to the free plan. Restoring premium features requires a successful payment. Amounts already paid for prior periods are not refunded due to a later failed renewal.
ProposalBolt only facilitates payments between you and your Clients through a third-party payment aggregator; we are not a party to those transactions. Any refund to a Client, and any chargeback, reversal or dispute relating to a payment your Client made to you, is solely between you and your Client and is your responsibility to resolve, in line with your own terms with that Client. ProposalBolt does not issue refunds for such payments and is not liable for them. Chargebacks, reversals, fees, fines or shortfalls may be recovered from your settlements or from you. The platform fee we charge on collected amounts is non-refundable except where required by law.
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute on a ProposalBolt Subscription charge instead of contacting us, we may suspend your account while the dispute is investigated. Please contact us first — we will try to resolve any billing issue quickly.
GST and other taxes shown on your invoice are charged as required by law. Where a refund is issued, any corresponding tax adjustment will be handled in accordance with Applicable Law.
To cancel, manage your Subscription from your billing settings. For a refund request or any billing question, contact support@proposalbolt.com with your account email and details of the charge. We aim to respond promptly and to address valid requests fairly. Nothing in this Policy limits any rights you may have that cannot be excluded under Applicable Law.
